The Reality actress replied with an incident that happened at a Post Malone concert a few days prior to the interview. She revealed that her fans started flocking to her instead of the singer so they could “take a picture.”

Once a struggling actress who faced many financial hurdles, Sweeney was surprised by this. She even asked them why they came to her if they were there “to see Post Malone.” Regardless of her blooming successes, she remained humble in the face of such adoration.

Maybe this is because of her humble beginnings in a small town. Or maybe it is because her fans, as well as haters, keep her grounded in the most unusual ways.

When The Handmaid’s Tale got Sweeney the wrong kind of recognition

While Sweeney has a huge loyal fanbase that she has earned with each character she portrays, not all of them love her roles. A good example of this was when somebody interrupted her dinner to tell her that they hated her “character” in The Handmaid’s Tale. This must have been heart-breaking considering the huge sacrifice Sweeney made for that very role!

Although she brushed it off as a compliment and said “thank you” to the uninvited guest, she also said that she tends to “get a lot of hate” for that particular character. After all, her portrayal of Eden Blaine in the series was incredibly convincing!
