Sydney Sweeney Radiates Color of Love, With Co-Star Glen Powell at the People’s Choice Awards
Trophy season, besides being the decoder of winners, is a righteous cause for sartorial statements of regality. Sydney Sweeney, being the queen of red carpet appearances, of course, could not have missed out on this golden opportunity to flex a fashion moment worth billions of dollars. Gracing the People’s Choice Awards with her Anyone but You co-star, Glen Powell, Sweeney made sure all eyes were on the poster faces for rom-com’s new-age return.
Not only did she succeed, but also made her space for the Pinterest look-book for iconic red carpet appearances, coordinating in the color of love.

When it comes to praiseworthy red-carpet appearances, Sydney Sweeney has a game like none. Hence, as she made her presence known for the People’s Choice Awards with Glen Powell, she brought her A1 collection of fashion statements, donning a fiery red Mônot gown with a deep-plunged neckline. Complementing the Cupid season’s comfort palette, the male campaign head of rom-com’s comeback, Powell wore a grey suit with a white t-shirt.
Taking the helm of the stage, the pair led a sing-along to Natasha Bedingfield’s 2004 hit ‘Unwritten’. As the trio appeared on stage on Sunday at Santa Monica, the heat of their on-screen chemistry could be felt from miles away. Since the pair also clapped back cheekily in their announcements, a relative revisit moment took place for fans worldwide to watch the stars in reality.
While their pairing did send the audience into a tropical frenzy from the stage, their on-screen tropical romance failed to bag a win at the ceremony.

Despite having a good run at the box office, it seems Anyone but You could not secure the win for the People’s Choice Awards. The movie was up for nomination in the category of Comedy Movie of the Year. However, Greta Gerwig’s star-studded Barbie, standing with the victory card, did its magic for the category in spite of a good cinematic battle.
Furthermore, both Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell were on the nominee list for the Comedy Movie Star of the Year segment. Yet, neither could bag the win as Jennifer Lawrence won the category for her role in No Hard Feelings. Even though the rom-com frenzy was manifold when the movie was out, its snub from the winning charts makes one wonder what the other ceremonies have in store for Anyone but You.
