The upcoming project will be a remake of the 1980 film starring Dolly Parton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin. With the script already “looking good,” Aniston has pivoted her attention to recruit a number of next-generation stars. However, only a select few names on her list have the potential to “add to the momentum of the project.” The reasons for eyeing Sweeney, Zendaya, and Grande come from the fact that they have already cultivated a fanbase with their comedic gold.

According to Life & Style’s latest report, Jennifer Aniston may have a few names on her wishlist for the 9 to 5 reboot. But Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, and Ariana Grande have their plates full with several projects awaiting a release. “Sydney and Zendaya are heavily booked for the next twelve months,” the source added, referring to the highly anticipated upcoming projects of Sweeney and Zendaya. As a result, Aniston wishes to get the cameras rolling by 2026, “if she can.”

The 9 to 5 remake has yet to be green-lit by Disney-owned Twentieth Century Studios. But the Friends star has her focus on getting a green flag by one of these actors to make them a member of “Team Aniston.” Since this is Aniston’s primary focus, the reimagined film hangs in the air as of now. However, Tinseltown runs on starry reckoning, and who knows Aniston’s name may be enough to get these stars upbeat for the revisit.
