In the hit series Euphoria,  Sydney Sweeney made sure that she shined a tad bit brighter than the rest. Cassie Howard became a standout character in the popular series, bringing out Sweeney’s acting skills in the spotlight. When the announcement of the actress’ upcoming movie with Glen Powell surfaced, fans started to eagerly anticipate their on-screen chemistry. The wait is finally over as the R-rated movie recently dropped its first trailer!

Sony Pictures recently released the first look of the upcoming rom-com featuring Sweeney in a stylish blue satin gown and Powell in a white suit. While fans were just trying to wrap their heads around how stunning the stars looked in the picture, the makers hit them with the trailer of Anyone But You. A page from X, formerly Twitter, shared the first trailer of the movie with a caption informing the release date of the movie. 

Directed by Will Gluck, the movie will hit the big screens on December 15. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, the upcoming movie revolves around two former college classmates who pretend to be a couple at their friend’s wedding. Sweeney and Powell shed some faint light on the dynamic of their characters at CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April. 

However, their latest trailer brought their dynamic into a sharper focus and fans could not help being taken in by their sizzling chemistry.

It is very apparent from the trailer that Anyone But You would follow the popular haters-to-lovers trope. In the beautiful backdrop on the other side of the world, Australia, the actors will have their fans falling head over heels for them. Ever since the trailer dropped, fans have been nothing but excited to see the 26-year-old in a feel-good romantic comedy with Powell. 

Some fans also looked back at the rumors of Sweeney and Powell, which became the talk of the town earlier this year, in a whole new light. The trailer cemented that the rumors were unnecessarily blown out of proportion. 

Many movie buffs expressed their happiness at seeing the classic rom-com genre getting back in the theatres. Especially, the “fake dating” theme had fans on the edge of their seats. 

However, there was also a section of netizens who could not see any chemistry between the stars and expressed their disappointment in the comments.
