Sweeney’s highly anticipated psychological thriller, The Housemaid, from Paul Feig, will be released on December 25, 2025, according to Lionsgate. However, right across the pond sits another biopic master, Chalamet, with his Christmas release.

This year, Chalamet is turning heads with his iconic transformation for A Complete Unknown, and for the next, the actor is gearing up to arrive with Marty Supreme. Directed by Josh Safdie from an original screenplay written by him and Ronald Bronstein, A24’s Marty Supreme will follow a globetrotting adventure comedy. Thus, even though Sweeney has had the last laugh this year, there is no doubt the Grinch will be out again the next.
