The Marvel comic strip is steering the high chords of enchantment with a new adaptation release from Sony Universe’s sleeve. And with the new chapter’s banging commencement, a fresh preview of the much-anticipated Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson’s upcoming project, Madame Web, has finally emerged. As the female stars pick up the helm of the iconic Marvel creation of the Spider-Man Universe, a fresh international poster has been released to calm the nerves of excited fans.

The poster features Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor. Johnson is sporting the comic-accurate costume of the titular hero, while Sweeney has donned the skin of Julia Carpenter in a black and grey latex fit. The star also wears a stunning mask with an intense look like Mattie Franklin and Anya Corazan’s characters, but is distinct from them. The latter two wore a bluish costume with red webs and a steely suit with a cat-eyed mask.

This iconic visit to the Spiderverse is slated for release in about a month, on February 14th. With the roof-hitting anticipation in line, the flick might enter the realm of a box office clash with Henry Cavill-led spy-thriller Argylle. The projects will hit the theatres within a gap of less than two weeks. As a result, they could go neck and neck in the race for blockbusters of 2024. 

In fact, the bet is high on the potential theatrical showdown since the movies have already been in a dead heat due to their close-call positions in the most-anticipated movie list of 2024.

Where does Madame Web stand in the most anticipated movie chart of 2024?

Journeying on the last leg of the past year, Variety had rolled out the list of the most-anticipated movies list of 2024. While the priority-tagged Deadpool 3 took the first spot, Madame Web secured the third position. Sandwiched in between the Marvel comic inspirations, Argylle emerged in the second spot. Given that the release dates are also not too far from one another, a cinematic clash is almost inevitable.

Furthermore, since the first poster and teaser trailers were a big hit, the expectations are exceptional. Especially, given the star-studded cast and a never-seen-before ensemble, it is no surprise that the movie has climbed the charts of anticipated movies so swiftly. Moreover, with the poster unveiling at this hour, it is sure to spark a major fan frenzy. Therefore, it is safe to say that February and Valentine’s week await teeming movie houses.
