‘Suits’ Fan Praises Meghan Markle Recalling the Invictus Experience With “Affectionate” Duchess
After making the United States of America their home sweet home, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex now have Germany all spellbound. The recent Paralympic-style games ended as one of the greatest late-summer celebrations of the year. While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave their best to make the contestants feel at home, they garnered much love from the audience over the span of all ten days. Recalling some major highlights of the event, a German Suits fan has penned what it felt like to be face-to-face with royalty-turned-humbled regulars.

Merle Ruers, a student in Germany who got first-hand experience of the grand event, could not help but shower praises on Meghan Markle. The first lady of Invictus, as they call her, is forever known for her commendable ability to blend with the crowd of commoners. And she did just that, or so said one of her ardent fans. Recalling how she bumped into royals, Ruers wrote, as per the Rheinische Post, how she bumped into the couple, who were standing at ease near the Canada tent.
Being accustomed to Markle’s massive success on Netflix, Ruers found herself already star-struck by the Duchess. Markle approached her Duchess of Sussex’s side with an “affectionate” conversation. Adding to it, she even posed for a selfie with her kid fan. This is not the only instance of fans feeling at ease with Markle. During the games, a horde of overjoyed women could not help but shower the Duchess with so much love that the Duke felt the need to protect his wife from the crowd.
Prince Harry, meanwhile, was equally a messiah for the crowd.
Merle Ruers and Prince Harry could correlate the hardships of life
Crossing paths with the Duke once again, Ruers found Prince Harry was even more accustomed to the struggles of life. “Harry probably knows a lot about post-traumatic stress disorder and looked at the stands with interest,” said Ruers. She went on to add how the Duke asked each of their names and “was really nice.”

It all continued to be even more overwhelming for Ruers since she “never expected” this warmth from the couple. She initially thought it was all an official patronage the Duke had to render. But seeing him comforting the wounded and worn-out participants on a whole different level surprised her.
