‘Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown Jumps Ships as Supergirl in James Gunn’s New DC in Fan Art
Millie Bobby Brown was hardly eleven when she was cast for the role of Eleven in Netflix’s Stranger Things. Starting her showbiz life as a test subject in her debut show, the actress soon went on to prove that she had as much power in her acting as her character had on screen. Now picture this: Brown saving not just Upside Down and the Hawkins gang but the entire planet at once. Well, now that Hollywood has really pulled itself neck-deep with the concept of the multiverse, anything one can think of stands to be a possibility.
Along the lines, fans are left to wonder what if Millie Bobby Brown followed in the footsteps of Henry Cavill and hopped on board DC?

Henry Cavill was supposed to have his last outing as Superman in 2023’s The Flash but the cameo was scrapped and the film got an alternate ending. However, that movie introduced Sasha Calle’s Supergirl to the big screen. Yet, James Gunn dismissed her as well as many previous actors as non-canon. Wondering who would fit the new DC chief’s bill, a fan art landed on Millie Bobby Brown. Sporting fierce grit in her brown eyes and her flowing locks, Brown took over the red cape and the fandom’s imagination by storm.
Supergirl’s roots in the comics stated her as a cousin of Superman, sharing the same powers. Gunn had stated that he was on the lookout for “young” actors while replacing Henry Cavill with David Corenswet. Moreover, he also announced a Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow to be in the works. Brown stands to be the perfect choice among fans. Echoing her persona of determination and grit, the actress has a knack for bringing out her best on screen.
While fans revel in fan castings, James Gunn recently snubbed almost the entirety of the early DC movies out of his studios.
After Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck, James Gunn casts doubt on the majority of existing DC actors
It is no secret that the entire DC fandom and the comic book fans were in pain when James Gunn showed Henry Cavill an unceremonious exit. Soon after, Ben Affleck too followed. Now, in a recent revelation, the new DC chief announced that all movies, including The Flash and the upcoming Aquaman 2, would not be canon to his universe. Furthermore, barring Viola Davis, John Cena, and Xolo Maridueña, all other actors in the preceding DC Universe are non-canon as well.

As such, the speculated return of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman too will not have the light of the day. The announcements also seemingly confirm Blue Beetle to be the first movie in Gunn’s new universe. It will soon be followed by his own directorial, Superman: Legacy. Amidst this major reshuffle, the entire hierarchy and timeline stands shaken and awaits resolution with the release of Gunn’s movie.
