The unsung heroes of any action-packed blockbuster are the stunt doubles. Sure, it comes with some perks. One can look nearly as stunning as the lead actor, without fretting over the paparazzi capturing their every slip-up. However, it is impossible to brush aside the risks these doubles put themselves through, which deserve better recognition. And Ryan Gosling is doing just that, giving credit where it is due, particularly because their efforts led his movie to a major milestone.

Gosling’s upcoming flick, The Fall Guy, owes a huge debt to his team of stunt doubles. And recently, Ryan Gosling took a moment to pay tribute to their hard work.

Recently, during an exclusive screening of The Fall Guy at The Grove in Los Angeles, Ryan Gosling talked about the stunt crew’s crucial role in the 2024 movie. Sharing memories from his role in Young Hercules, Gosling mentioned how he has practically had a stunt double for ages. He pointed out the usual tendency in the industry where these daredevils do all the heavy lifting, and then vanish into thin air as if they were never there. The Oscar-nominated actor declared that this phenomenon “ends today“.

Gosling, who played stuntman Colt Seavers in the 2024 movie, made it a point to give a special nod to his stunt double, Logan Holladay, and the rest of the crew when asked about the impact of the role on his fear threshold. Holladay, who handled the wheel as Gosling’s stunt driver, set a new Guinness World Record by flipping a car eight and a half times on the Sydney beaches during the production. However, giving credit to those who deserve is not a new practice for Gosling- he did the same at the 2024 Oscars as well.
