Spotify Deal Pushback Urges Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to Make a Stronger Comeback
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were busy and booked when they left the royal family in 2020. More than separation from their family and ultimately one of the most respected institutions in the world, Megxit was treated like a blockbuster phenomenon. And the Sussexes seemed to be enjoying the ride helmed by a $100 million Netflix deal and another $20 million dollar Spotify deal. The latter came crashing down earlier this month.
The Spotify breakup, much like their exit from the royal family, was followed by demeaning remarks. However, in favor of the streamer, the audience saw clearly why it reached the decision. Throughout her tenure, Meghan Markle had barely managed to deliver content for her podcast. And with how things have been quiet at Netflix on the Sussex’s front, everyone marked it as the fall of the first domino. However, the Sussexes disagree.

While they resigned as senior working royals, they still had the royal title and money. And the only right place seemed for an intriguingly odd couple seemed to be Tinsel Town. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to sell their story. While the Archetypes podcast that Spotify scraped as she described was her work of love, Markle has already moved on.
In fact, sources told US Weekly, “[They’re] ready to come back stronger.”
The podcast, albeit short, did not lack star power. From Mariah Carey to Paris Hilton, everybody but Taylor Swift jumped at the opportunity to talk with the Duchess.
This is probably why the Sussexes still have faith in bouncing back stronger. After all, if their countless claims of the royal family dropping them are true, Spotify’s got nothing but a few images image-destroying allegations on them. But a strong comeback, even if made by a banished king, is welcomed, so who is to deny the Sussexes who left on their own accord?

The Spotify deal has once again opened the door for criticism of the Sussexes. One that has stuck even from their time with the Royal family points to them being unproductive. If the Duke and Duchess have any plans of making it further in Hollywood, they need to debunk this claim.
A royally fashionable way to do so would be to build a brand centered around their lifestyle. And for that to work, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need to raise their productivity bandwidth from thirteen episodes in two years.
