However, James Gunn might be changing that to some extent if rumors about him casting Skyler Gisondo from The Amazing Spider-Man films in Superman: Legacy are true.

To freshen up your memory, given that The Amazing Spider-Man movies were released nearly a decade ago when Skyler Gisondo played Gwen Stacy’s younger brother. However, Gunn is eyeing him to play a much more important role in the form of Clark Kent’s buddy, Jimmy Olsen.

The character was featured as a regular next to Clark Kent in the comics. However, DCEU only featured him once during Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The rumor has so far gained the nod of approval from the trusted scoopers of the superhero community CanWeGetSomeToast and MyTimeToShineHello. Skyler Gisondo is currently the most popular choice for Jimmy Oliver. The twenty-six-year-old actor has had various stints in the acting industry. Starting young as Stacy’s little brother in The Amazing Spider-Man, he went on to score a lot of teenage drama projects. The actor is best known for Booksmart, Vacation, and The Righteous Gemstones.

His role in Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man movie will serve as great leverage in his casting as Jimmy Olsen if James Gunn is really considering him.
