Stranger Things season 4 has left all the fans in limbo with its cliffhanger ending. While fans are counting the minutes to the release of season 5, the delays owing to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes have their nerves on edge. Shifting the focus to another immersive film franchise, DCU, it is no mystery here that David Harbour, the iconic Stranger Things cop, is about to be a part of it.
This 48-year-old actor was also a part of MCU, portraying Alexei Shostakov, or Red Guardian, in Black Widow. And now all set to make his mark in another extended universe, Harbour spills the beans about his role in his new animated flick, Creature Commandos.

David Harbour, in an interview with Collider, gave the fans insight into his upcoming project, Creature Commandos, written by James Gunn. The Gran Turismo actor revealed that Gunn considers this movie to be “some of the best stuff he’s ever written.” Harbour also shed light on the nature of the movie and the character he will be slipping into. He added, “It’s hilarious, and the character is great.”
The Hellboy actor will be playing the role of Eric Frankenstein, who will be a prominent part of DC in upcoming movies like God & Monsters. Henry Cavill, known for playing Superman, was rumored to be playing Frankenstein until James Gunn put a lid on the chatter.
Creature Commandos will certainly be the make-or-break moment for Gunn’s credibility to keep the DCU spark alive.

Creature Commandos is one of the first series from the new DCU, created by James Gunn. It will be a re-imagination of the traditional comic and will feature the black ops team of monsters. Creature Commandos will be the connecting point to the forthcoming new DCU flicks, which will be a seven-episode-long series. Despite the production delays owing to the labor strike, as per Harbour’s interview, the movie will be “wildly funny” to watch.
Ever since James Gunn took over DC, fans have been spitting hair over Cavill’s departure from the Superman franchise. It will be interesting to see how this product of Gunn’s universe will turn the corner for fans.
