Sofia Richie was all over the news for her grand and royal wedding. The model and designer married music executive and founder of 10K Projects, Elliot Grainge, post their engagement in April 2022. The couple exchanged their views in France at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. Their wedding pictures were straight out of a fairytale and so were the honeymoon pictures.

While Richie had a wedding that was all royal, she also shares a commonality with a member of the British royal family, Meghan Markle. And the similarity has something to do with ‘fragrances’.

Sofia Richie and Meghan Markle adore the same perfume

Both Meghan Markle and Sofia Richie prefer Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne, as shared by the latter in her new Instagram video. Richie described this as her ‘signature scent’. “It’s so good, it makes me feel safe and calm and just beach-y and chill,” shared Richie, who has recently partnered with the brand. Back in 2016, Markle shared with Daily Express that she switches between fragrances and Jo Malone is one of her favorites.  

Notably, Richie attended the coronation concert because of her father Lionel Richie’s performance. Katy Perry also gave a performance at the concert and also got a night stay at Windsor Castle. The coronation concert showed the love of King Charles for arts and music. While the coronation ceremony and concert were attended by many globally, Markle was absent from both the coronation and concert.

Did Markle actually not attend the coronation for Archie’s birthday?

Yes, it is completely true. Despite the controversies and tension between the royals and Susssexes post the release of ‘Spare’, they were both invited to the coronation ceremony. While Prince Harry marked his presence to support his father on such an important day, the Duchess could not and stayed back for Archie’s fourth birthday.

The Duchess was seen going on a hike for her son’s birthday wearing her favorite J. Crew Perfect Lightweight Jacket. Prince Harry was also seen leaving just after the coronation to join his family in the States. While Harry was seen all smiles at the event, he had no official role in the ceremony and was seated two rows behind his brother, Prince William. This could be because of the controversies surrounding his memoir ‘Spare’.

Ever since the Megxit, the couple is staying in the United States with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been working with charities and founded their Archewell Foundation.
