Guy Ritchie is a brilliant director with whom the actors love to work. Now, amidst all his famous and stunning films, there came an epic fantasy action-adventure film in 2017, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. The movie saw Charlie Hunnam as the lead actor, who is going to appear in Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon soon. But did you know, he came to London especially to meet the director to be in the film? Upon his arrival, the actor told Ritchie he knew other actors were auditioning for the same role. Now, this was where he challenged the Enola Holmes actor to fight against him.
Originally, the British director’s concerns were regarding Hunnam’s physique. The role he wanted to play in the film needed to be physically strong. Therefore, The Gentlemen star told Richie to bring other 3 actors who were auditioning for the same role. He challenged those actors to fight against him, as he revealed during his interview with ET in 2017, that the one who would walk out of the room would get the role.
Although it sounds thrilling, they did not actually fight. In fact, because of his sheer dedication and strong desire, Guy Ritchie gave the role to Charlie Hunnam. Interestingly, during his interview, he never revealed the names of any actors. However, when the interviewer asked him about it, he hinted, “One of them wears a cape,” after refusing to give out names.
Although Cavill did not get the role then, in the flick, he is now working with the 54-year-old director.
