The SKIMS founder became a mom in 2013, when she and ex-husband Ye, aka Kanye West, welcomed their first little bundle, North West. With four kids in tow, Kardashian has been mastering the art of juggling motherhood, a career, and a busy personal life. And now, she is giving fans a glimpse into the not-so-glamorous side of parenting.

Kardashian recently shared an emotional quote about the tougher parts of being a parent, right after dealing with her son's YouTube drama.

Kim Kardashian has never shied away from sharing the highs and lows of motherhood. Most recently, the reality star shared a beautiful quote that reflected the bittersweet truth many parents know all too well. On her Instagram Stories, she shared, "The sad part about motherhood is that you're raising the one person you can't live without... to be able to live without you”. This story came just two days after she gave a shoutout to her eight-year-old son, Saint West, on Instagram. 

Kardashian promoted the eight-year-old's YouTube Fortnite channel, promising that “he will pick the best players to be in his clan.” It was a bit ironic, considering she had reportedly deleted her son's channel after he posted controversial political memes during the election. It was also reported last month that the entrepreneur is feeling the weight of single parenting, especially since she does not have much help.

A source close to the Kardashians revealed that Ye has not been stepping up in his role as a father, leaving everything on the shoulders of the mom of four.

PEOPLE magazine reported last month that Kim Kardashian is “pretty much a single mom” these days as her rapper ex-husband, Ye, is “sadly not around very much.” According to sources, her life is all about her kids, and her daily grind now revolves around taking care of them. While she does have help, it is still a lot of work for her to manage everything. Even Kardashian herself opened up about this last year.

 In a May 2023 interview on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, Kardashian got candid about the challenges of parenting without a partner. While she admitted that having nannies and a chef is a huge help, the 44-year-old made it clear that “at the end of the day, your kids only want you”. Nonetheless, despite the struggles of being a single mother, Kim Kardashian sure is setting the bar high for women everywhere.
