Once in a while comes a show or a movie that one cherishes throughout life. In the vast churning mill of Hollywood, a gem that sticks is undeniably of exceptional quality and with a story that runs deep both on and off the screens. The early 90s saw one such production grace the screens. The cast of Friends came along with a story that ran for ten years yet settled in fans&#8217; hearts for a lifetime. Among the six main stars who stole the show, a lesser-known story had America’s sweetheart, Jennifer Aniston, be there for Matthew Perry in his darkest hours.

Interestingly, in real life, Matthew Perry found the same in Jennifer Aniston. In talks with Diane Sawyer in 2022, the actor revealed that, in his fight against addiction, among the Friends cast, “She was the one that reached out the most.”

While every member of the Friends star-cast was with him en route to recovery, his once-crush, Aniston shared most of her time. In his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, the actor revealed that he had a Cupid’s arrow stuck on Aniston even before the show. Additionally, he had also asked the actress out during their time on Friends, but they settled for being friends.

The now 54-year-old actor was the youngest among the Friends cast at the start of the show back in 1994. Off cameras, things were bleak for Perry. In his quest for Aniston, he knew he had to let it go when she married Brad Pitt in 2000. However, there was one more Friends star that he was love-struck with it &#8211; guest actress, Julia Roberts.
