"She was piqued by the disparity"- Meghan Markle Was Always at Odds With Prince Harry's Royal Treatment, Claims Royal Author
Meghan Markle’s entry into the British royal fold shook the family to its foundations. Ever since her association with Prince Harry, the then-actress has continuously been at the center of a storm. While some feminists were upset about Markle giving up her career at its peak to marry a prince, conservatives raised their eyebrows at the never-before-seen strange new developments. Nevertheless, more than the way people saw the union as odd, Meghan Markle found the royals' treatment of Prince Harry even odder from the start.
A royal biographer revealed how Meghan Markle was really put off by the way the royal family allegedly played favorites.

Royal biographer Robert Jobson recently made some shocking revelations in his new book, titled Catherine, The Princess of Wales. In the book, Jobson wrote about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s initial courting days, when the Prince was living in Nottingham Cottage. Prince Harry’s cottage had only two bedrooms and one bathroom, while Prince William lived in Apartment 1A, which had about 20 rooms. According to the author, Markle was “taken aback” by this. “She was piqued by the disparity,” wrote Jobson.
Markle felt that since both Prince Harry and Prince William are royal princes, they should be treated equally. She also believed that the Duke of Sussex “deserved more materially.” Even Prince Harry shed light on the same issue in his controversial memoir. He was “embarrassed,” in his own words, to bring Markle to his bachelor pad the first time as “Not Cott was no palace.” The Sussexes also had to give up their five-bedroom Frogmore Cottage, gifted to them by Queen Elizabeth, upon stepping down from their duties.
Frogmore Cottage, however, was not the only home the Sussexes had to give up after their royal exit.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent about $3 million to renovate Frogmore Cottage, only to vacate it shortly afterward. However, while the cottage was under renovation, the couple bought a secret hideaway, away from the media’s notice, in the UK. It was the Cotswolds property, which the Sussexes tried to keep under wraps. The Oxfordshire residence was reportedly valued at approximately $2,600,000 back in 2018. Unfortunately, their secret could not remain a secret for too long.
Very soon, the property was discovered by the media, and the Sussexes lost their privacy, leading them to bid farewell to the residence once and for all. All this, combined with ongoing security issues, has made the Duchess of Sussex hesitant to look back at her UK life, despite Prince Harry and some royal members’ alleged efforts to mend fences.
