Taking to his X handle, a devoted fan shared a memorable scene from the movie, highlighting one of the best setup and payoff scenes a Marvel fan could ask for. The scene recalls Wolverine's haunting memories of losing his fellow X-Men, with him consumed by guilt. Following it, another snap showed Wolverine finding redemption, with Deadpool's call going unanswered. Reacting to the same, director Shawn Levy tagged Ryan Reynolds along, saying “@VancityReynolds and I are suckers for setups and payoffs."

Expressing his joy over the fact that his film genius was a success, Shawn Levy said, replying in the comments section, “The fact that you got this makes me very, very happy”. Not just this single alone, a couple more setup and payoff scenes, as highlighted by fans, further adorned the blockbuster movie that revived the Marvel Universe.

One notable instance is the post-credits scene where Deadpool returns to the TVA, revealing a hidden-camera video of Johnny Storm insulting Cassandra Nova. The colorful insults rewind to the point where Deadpool seemingly shifts the blame of hurling curses at Nova upon Chris Evan's character, revealing the truth of the scene. This vindication for Deadpool served a masterful payoff, turning theatres upside down. 

Another such standout scene was Deadpool's complaint about the multiverse feeling underwhelming as a narrative engine for the post-Endgame MCU. Additionally, Wesley Snipes makes a surprise cameo as Blade, declaring that there will only ever be one Blade.
