The celebrity ties cut off with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are seemingly going a bit too harsh on the couple. The endless streak of devastating fallouts with their once-close associates has evidently added another to the list. Following the trails of Beckhams and Clooneys, a close pal who knew Markle before she got into the royal waters, has also ditched the Duchess and the Duke. The now GBNews host has made some striking comments about the two, thus compromising their ties. 

The self-exiled royal pair undoubtedly serve as a tabloid fixation all over the world. However, that has seemingly ridiculed some of their friends. 

An ex-best friend takes a jibe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, the Tales From The Red Carpet Author, Lizzie Cundy, has criticized the couple and the media limelight that has been obsessed with them. The author was all praises for the work they do. However, she could not help but detest the cameras they have around. “I just think it’s great they’re doing their charity work,” said the GB News host. Nonetheless, “It’s a bit of a shame to have to do it with the camera crew there,” Cundy added. Not being able to understand the reason behind the cameras, the author further added that they should do good stuff without the hype to pass for a pat on the back. 

Labeling their media clout as a publicity stunt, Cundy believes the two have not been together long enough to achieve the same. “They haven’t been seen together for a long time and I just think this is — shall I say — a publicity stunt, possibly?” contemplated the media personality. 

This is, however, not the first time the author has taken a hit on the couple. 

Lizzie Cundy regretted setting up the Sussexes 

According to various reports, the author was once an extremely close friend to the former Suits actress. So much so that she even had the authority to pair Meghan Markle with eligible bachelors in typical best friend fashion. The media host had always been of the opinion that Markle would love an English boy. After crossing out options like football star Ashley Cole, she finally set up Markle with the Duke of Sussex. 

Soon after their marriage plunged into a downward spiral with relentless controversies, Cundy wished she never made it happen in the first place. In an exclusive interview with OK magazine last year, she said “I wish I never introduced Harry,” to Markle. “It’s all my fault!” added the news host, pleading guilty to the Queen consort Camilla and “everyone”. She was disheartened to see the humiliation of the present Queen in the Netflix bombshell.
