It is no secret that the 7-time Mr. Olympia has sweated blood and toil to pump weights in order to attain the staggering physique he rocks. Equally true is the fact that he spends a lot of his time in the gym. Thus, in his book, Schwarzenegger mentions that the gym is not meant merely for body gains but also for life lessons. “When failure is a positive part of the game you play, it’s much less scary to search for the limits of your ability.”
To elaborate, the fitness legend meant to focus on commitment. To enter the gym with a goal and then strive hard to achieve it. At the end of a lift, if the hands start to give way, then it is not a moment to feel disappointed but rather to embrace that one did not give up until absolutely necessary. The star emphasizes that winning or losing is part of the game, but showing up for a challenge is what counts.
Moreover, it is not the mere fact that the action-legend merely advises. Rather, Schwarzenegger follows up on every bit of advice that he imparts.
