The duo acquired the club back in 2020, which was followed by several interviews with Ryan Reynolds, where he stated the kerfuffle that unfolded after the big $2.5 million buy. However, the time has apparently come for the treasure-making duo to sell out.

The reports of Wrexham AFC being the next big thing have become to slow out, and right on their cue, finance experts have stepped in to help Reynolds and McElhenney step out unscathed.

In the years that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have taken over the football club that was on the brink of being forgotten, they have done everything in their power to make it a mainstream attraction. However, a mainstream attraction may not be enough to fill one's pockets after they deck out $2.5 million. Taking this and the cost of keeping the club going into consideration, Kieran Maguire on his Price of Football podcast, has said, "If they were to sell the club today, then they would be able to sell and recoup all of those losses."

The finance expert explained that funding the club from their own pockets will only escalate the duo's ride to rock bottom. However, if they were to sell the club and someone was to buy it, including Reynolds and McElhenney's affiliation to the same, it would help them continue their wholesome relationship with the couple while also saving them bucks.

It is unclear if Ryan Reynolds will take this advice, but in the situation he currently stands at, the actor cannot be avoiding anymore mishaps.
