Sadie Sink Makes Her Broadway Return Alongside a Flurry of Amazing Names for John Proctor is The Villain

It will not be long before the Hawkins gang goes on one last mission to save Indiana from Upside Down’s rampage. But before Netflix waves the green flag, one of the core members of Stranger Things, Sadie Sink, is taking time out to fan the flames of the highly anticipated upcoming stage show John Proctor is The Villain, with a confirmed cast in tow. 

Although the anticipation was already fever-pitch about Sink’s next big step, now all eyes are on her Broadway run alongside a star-studded list of names.

According to a new report by Bustle, Sadie Sink is all set to return to Broadway with a new play, John Proctor is The Villain. The outlet recently obtained the first glimpse with fresh snaps of the cast. Kimberly Belflower wrote the play, and Tony, winner Danya Taymor, has taken the director’s hot seat. Sink portrays Shelby Holcomb in the play, and joining her are several theater and film actors, including Gabriel Ebert as Carter Smith, and Nihar Duvvuri as Mason Adams.

The upcoming production of John Proctor is The Villain, further features Molly Griggs as Bailey Gallagher, Maggie Kuntz as Ivy Watkins, Hagan Oliveras as Lee Turner, and Morgan Scott as Nell Shaw. Additional cast members include Fina Strazza as Beth Powell and Amalia Yoo as Raelynn Nix. Rounding out the cast as understudies are Noah Pacht, Fiona Robberson, Shian Tomlinson, Garett Young, and Victoria Vourkoutiotis.

While Stranger Things gets its ducks in a row to bring a full circle, Sadie Sink recently expressed her enthusiasm about her Broadway return.

Sadie Sink’s Broadway run with John Proctor is The Villain will mark her comeback to the Great White Way 10 years after she played young Queen Elizabeth II in The Audience. In a candid conversation with Bustle, the Stranger Things actor was found considerably “thrilled” that the cast of the play was finally out in public. “Kimberly Belflower’s play is very dear to me, and I’m so excited to start rehearsing with the cast and Danya,” Sink said.

John Proctor is The Villain, is poised to kick off previews at the Booth Theatre on March 20, 2025. The opening night for the play is scheduled for April 14. Tickets are currently available on telecharge.com through the end of June. Hence, for anyone still having nightmares about whether Sink makes it through the fifth season of Stranger Things, Broadway is here to make up for it, just in case.
