After partnering with Discovery, many decisions of Warner Bros have turned out to be controversial. While the production house celebrates its 100th anniversary, there is one more decision that grabbed a lot of attention, including that of Ryan Reynolds‘. The Canadian actor who is busy with Wrexham’s upcoming season and also Deadpool’s third installment, defended TCM against Warner Bros gutting the firm.

Not only the Deadpool actor, but there are many celebrities who are fans of Turner Classic Movies. However, as IndiWire reported, dismantling TCM enraged many people, including the 46-year-old actor. He took to his Twitter to express his anger and acknowledged his love while defending it as well.

Well-known directors Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, and Paul Thomas Anderson even had an emergency call with David Zaslav, Warner Bros Discovery’s CEO. Reportedly, Warner Bros Discovery is laying off the key members of TCM, which stirred an angry environment across half of Hollywood. Although there has not been any official announcement about TCM’s future from the firm but firing the top-tier members of the company does not seem to be a good sign.

While the studio is thinking about getting Christopher Nolan back, who has made almost all his films with the studio, celebrities are gathering to save TCM. Moreover, not only the Red Notice actor but also his wife, Blake Lively, shares the same amount of affection for TCM.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively share the same love for TCM

Reynolds just revealed, “Turner Classic Movies has been a fixture in my life as long as I can remember.” It shows how much the actor loves the channel. But Blake Lively, who recently partnered with Wrexham AFC, also once talked about her love for the same. In 2016, during her interview with Vulture, Lively confessed her love for TCM.

She even admitted she watched a lot of TCM with so much excitement. Even TCM was something that would be on their television all the time. The Gossip Girl star revealed she would love to stay home and watch an old film rather than walk down the red carpet at Cannes.

TCM has been an inspiration for many of the actors in their lives. It has provided them with great classic entertainment with a lot of information as well.
