Ryan Reynolds is now officially a part of the legal drama involving his wife, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni. He is no longer just playing the supportive husband on the sidelines. After being hit with Lively’s lawsuit, Baldoni has fired back with a countersuit against the Hollywood power couple. However, it does not look like Reynolds is letting the drama derail his career, even though it initially seemed the couple might take a break from public appearances until the dust settled.

The Deadpool star is about to team up with his longtime friend and collaborator for an upcoming discussion, all while the It Ends With Us controversy brews in the background.

Ryan Reynolds and his frequent filmmaking partner Shawn Levy are scheduled to speak at Yale on February 26. The event, which is open to the public, will feature a dynamic conversation moderated by Kevin McCarthy. The two stars will talk about the entertainment industry, the art of storytelling in film, and the creative partnership that has fueled their success during the discussion. This could be the second time Reynolds has made a public appearance since the legal drama surrounding Blake Lively began.

Earlier this month, Reynolds attended the National Board of Review Awards gala, where he presented Wicked with the Best Film award. However, both he and Lively skipped the Golden Globes, despite earning nomination for their film, Deadpool & Wolverine. While Reynolds’ involvement in the feud is almost unavoidable as the husband, Justin Baldoni has now dragged another major celebrity into the legal mess.

Reynolds and Lively’s close friend, Taylor Swift, has found herself caught up in the ongoing dispute.

Taylor Swift drawn into Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal dispute

In a recent lawsuit spanning 179 pages, Justin Baldoni accused Blake Lively of pressuring him to rewrite a key part of the It Ends With Us script. According to the filing, Lively allegedly asked Baldoni to make changes to a pivotal rooftop scene by dropping Taylor Swift’s name to add weight to her request. The suit claimed that Lively summoned Baldoni to her New York penthouse for a meeting. There, Ryan Reynolds allegedly coerced Baldoni into accepting Lively's demands by enthusiastically backing her vision.

The complaint went on to state that, as the meeting was wrapping up, a “famous, and famously close, friend of Reynolds and Lively” walked in and further added their praise for Lively’s proposed changes. While the suit does not name Swift directly, it does reference a text message mentioning a “Taylor” and describes her as a “megacelebrity friend.” Nonetheless, despite the controversy, it seems Reynolds is not slowing down professionally and is choosing to stay in the public eye even as the legal drama unfolds.
