Ryan Reynolds recently took to his Instagram stories to give a shout-out to director and friend Shawn Levy who is set to receive the inaugural Norman Jewison Career Achievement Award. The duo has collaborated on Free Guy, The Adam Project, and soon Deadpool 3.

In a recent announcement by TIFF CEO, Cameron Bailey, it was revealed that producer-director Shawn Levy would be receiving his Career Achievement Award at the TIFF Tribute Awards gala on September 10th for the global impact created by the directors’ career. Some may consider Shawn Levy Ryan Reynolds’ secret weapon, but the directors’ achievements span way further. He is recognized for the award-winning blockbuster series, Stranger Things, the Night at the Museum franchise, and the Oscar-winning thriller, Arrival.
