Ryan Reynolds’ Led ‘Deadpool 3’ Can Start Production This Week, Following Actors’ Strike End
Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated projects that Marvel Studios will bring to the big screen in the near future. The upcoming film will bring Ryan Reynolds‘ Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in one frame. In fact, the shooting of this flick was underway and fans got some glimpses of the duo from the sets. However, it all came to a halt when actors joined writers on the picket lines, delaying things for about four months.
Just hours back, the SAF-AFTRA union shared the relieving news with fans about their agreement, bringing in cheers from everywhere. And with that, the Deadpool 3 team can start production this week.

Deadline recently shared a report regarding the deal between SAG-AFTRA and production companies. It revealed the strike ended at 12:01 a.m. PT on Thursday after months of upheaval in Hollywood. Both the parties unanimously voted for a tentative agreement and the details will be disclosed when it goes to the board this Friday. This means that Ryan Reynolds and other members of Deadpool 3 can resume production this week.
The upcoming film comes under the priority list of projects that need to go out soon. So after the union works out on the new contract, the shooting will instantly begin. The Canadian superstar has stood strong with the actor’s guild in the past months, despite taking a jab at their Halloween celebration guidelines, and it seems his and the entire fraternity’s contribution has finally paid off.
While the SAG-AFTRA union has shown the green light to actors just now, the creative team of this film has long been tickling the interest of fans with sneak peeks. A week back, director Shawn Levy gushed about how he and Ryan Reynolds have immense respect for Logan.

Shawn Levy talked to BroBible about how Logan’s depiction was important for Deadpool 3 on October 31. During the conversation, he expressed his excitement about the film hitting the theatres so he and Ryan Reynolds could talk about Logan. “I want the world to know, as the producer and director, all of us share a deep love and respect for Logan,” added Levy.
Both the cast and creators have maintained their silence on the storyline since the announcement of the project came out. There have been rumors about many joining the movie, including Reynolds’ friend Taylor Swift, to name a few. With the strike coming to an end, fans should now gear up to know which of their guesses were correct as Deadpool 3 will restart shooting in no time.
