Jennifer Garner has worked with both Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy in the 2022 sci-fi film, The Adam Project. Sharing his experience working with Garner for the second time, Reynolds penned a sweet note on X, appreciating the 13 Going on 30 actress for her “kindness” and “humanity.” Reynolds not only considered Garner his favorite “performer” but also one of his “favorite people.” "She brings a completely different scope of skills to each movie,” said the 47-year-old Canadian.
This came right after Reynolds praised Channing Tatum, who played Gambit in the movie, as one of the “greatest, hardest working, kindest people in this entire industry”. After such a warm gesture, it seems Reynolds’ cheeky jabs are only reserved for his co-lead and pal, Hugh Jackman. Recently, even Jennifer Garner shared how she prepared herself for Deadpool & Wolverine.
Garner, apparently, had to undergo some hard training to be superhero-ready again, as she was reprising her role after 19 years.

Jennifer Garner first starred as Marvel’s Elektra in the 2003 film Daredevil. She also got her own spinoff in 2005 as the titular character. However, returning after almost two decades as an action anti-heroine was not easy for Garner. She had to do some homework to be “Marvel fit” again, as she shared in an Instagram post following Deadpool & Wolverine’s release.
Garner shared how she “amped up” her training with her stunt double Shauna Duggins. She also had to take some boxing lessons from Flvco Pichardo and participate in workout sessions with Peloton’s Becs Gentry to get in proper shape. Finally, the 52-year-old thanked Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy for giving her character, Elektra, the perfect “ending” that Garner never thought she needed.
