It is no secret that Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift have a close familial bond, all thanks to Blake Lively and her long-term friendship with the global pop sensation. Paparazzi have often caught the Deadpool actor third-wheeling on his wife's dates with Swift, even at the Kansas City Chiefs' matches and Eras Tour shows. However, what everyone has been really looking forward to since Reynolds' Deadpool & Wolverine was announced, is a possible cameo by Taylor Swift in the highly anticipated movie.

While there has been no official confirmation (or denial) from the makers regarding this possibility, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the movie's release date, Ryan Reynolds may have just let the cat out of the bag.

Through a recent story with Vanity Fair, some fresh behind-the-scenes pictures of Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Shawn Levy playing ping-pong on the sets of Deadpool & Wolverine surfaced on the web. One of the pictures was shared again by Reynolds on his Instagram. However, it was his choice of song for the Instagram story that could be a possible Easter egg. Reynolds added Taylor Swift’s track ‘Peter’ from the album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ in his story.

Rumors of Taylor Swift being in the movie, popularly speculated to play Dazzler, have been circulating since 2015. However, earlier this month, Entertainment Weekly confirmed that Taylor Swift will not be appearing on the big screen on July 26. Nonetheless, all the signs and clues that have surfaced throughout the promotions of the upcoming Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer suggest otherwise.

Just recently, IMAX unveiled a new poster where the superheroes were seen holding hands while wearing friendship bracelets. And if that was not enough, a new teaser gave fans a glimpse of Lady Deadpool, sparking speculation about Swift making a cameo as the popular character. Fans even connected the lyric “dazzling” from Taylor Swift’s latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', with the MCU superheroine, Dazzler. But only time will tell whether these are genuine Easter eggs, fan theories, or just the franchise cleverly leveraging the pop sensation.
