Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney Used “Dark Art” Technique to Secure a Win Against Crawley Town
It seems like Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham is trying every trick in the book as they fight to win the second division. After achieving promotion, the Red Dragons are far from having the expected season. So far, the Welsh side’s journey in the football league has been a road to Damascus. Unlike their fairy tale run in the National League, Wrexham has been struggling in almost every fixture in the second division.
Back in the 2022-23 season, Wrexham surged to promotion in a record-breaking style. While they achieved promotion, they are no longer able to roll over rivals with ease. However, Wrexham recently used an old football tactic to secure their latest win.

Wrexham recently achieved a clean sweep against Crawley in their latest fixture. However, the start was not reasonably as expected. The Red Dragons were cut short by 10 men after Andy Cannon received a red card in the 66th minute. While Ollie Palmer gave the Red Dragons an early lead, the rest of the game was incredibly tough for the team. Despite playing with fewer players on the pitch, Wrexham managed to clinch the victory as the Phil Parkinson side followed the “dark art” technique. The Red Dragons put up countless tactical fouls to delay Crawley Town’s counterattacks.
Following the game, even the Crawley Town star was in awe of Wrexham’s use of dark art. Danilo Orsi revealed that their side has built multiple big chances. However, he admitted that dark arts are crucial to the game, especially League Two. As reported by Goal, Orsi revealed, “Credit to them, they did it extremely well, especially towards the end.” Elsewhere, Orsi said that they were expecting the side to use such tactics and revealed how they would have done the same.
Interestingly, the latest victory suggests good news for Wrexham fans.
