Lately, he has been seen paling around with his buddy Hugh Jackman, as their most anticipated movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, is drawing closer to the big screens. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman recently sat for an interview with The New York Times to discuss the perks and pitfalls of playing superheroes. Following the interview, Reynolds took to his social media handles, X and Instagram, and shared some monochromatic pictures of the two. The 47-year-old then thanked The New York Times for giving him his "all-time favorite interview" with his pal, Hugh Jackman.

During the interview, Reynolds also shared how Jackman left a lasting impression on him even before the Free Guy star landed his own big franchise. He reminisced about their X-Men Origins: Wolverine days when they were not as tight as they are now. Despite Jackman's superstar status towering over Reynolds' struggles back then, one of Jackman's gestures deeply inspired the rising star.

During one of Ryan Reynolds' darkest Hollywood moments, still hustling after a decade in the business, Jackman acted as a ray of inspiration for him. 

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman first crossed paths on the set of the 2009 movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Reynolds described his first day on set when he was dissatisfied with the way he had shot a scene earlier that day. When Jackman asked Reynolds how his day was, the latter muttered, “Ah, I wish I could go back to that scene we shot earlier”. Jackman, who was both starring in and producing the movie, without a second thought, quickly made arrangements to reshoot the scene.

“He didn’t even know me, we had just met”, said Reynolds. This gesture won over The Adam Project star, and he felt “lucky enough to be breathing the rare air” that Jackman breathes. In an earlier interview with Empire, Reynolds also stated that he would “never forget” this incident. With Deadpool & Wolverine around the corner, fans will surely get a glimpse into the heartwarming bond between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who hit it off from day one.
