Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman first crossed paths on the set of the 2009 movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Reynolds described his first day on set when he was dissatisfied with the way he had shot a scene earlier that day. When Jackman asked Reynolds how his day was, the latter muttered, “Ah, I wish I could go back to that scene we shot earlier”. “He didn’t even know me, we had just met”, said Reynolds. This gesture won over The Adam Project star, and he felt “lucky enough to be breathing the rare air” that Jackman breathes.
