Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have prevailed as the 'IT' couple of Hollywood for the longest time, often translating to them being among the most liked people in the industry up until the recent hiccup. Apart from defining 'captivating' every chance they got, the couple ferociously used their platform to promote good. And putting their money where their mouth is, despite the merc, the couple has added another astonishingly large donation to their portfolio.

On par with their close friend and just the biggest pop star in the world right now, Taylor Swift, it seems Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have taken the superhero business quite seriously as they come through for the homeless.

If charity begins at home, then Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have apparently confused their address with the world at large. Always among the first few celebrities to take the plunge and put their hearts into their charity work, the couple donated $1 Million to the disaster relief fund for Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Lively and Reynolds chose the non-profit organization Feeding America, as their passage of choice to get help to those in need.

Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of the organization, announced that the donation will go towards providing life’s more mundane necessities, food, water, and a pinch of hope. The organization also put forward that this was not the first time the couple had joined hands with them, giving a salute to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who have ensured their goodwill translates to fodder for those in need.

Hollywood may be a gaudy parade of glitz and gossip, but even in this carnival of vanity, a few celebrities manage to moonlight as humanitarians. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have become the poster children for charity with a wink, but when it comes to silent acts of benevolence, Taylor Swift, ever the overachiever, is in a league of her own. Not only did she donate $5 Million to the Hurricane Helene and Milton victims, but also ensured a months-long food supply for numerous homeless in Europe not long ago, all in silence.

Charity, fortunately, is not simply privy to Reynolds and Lively's friend circle as more celebrities have made efforts to help the victims. Tom Brady donated  $100,000 to relief efforts through Give with Gopuff while Dolly Patron donated a million through her own foundation. With gestures like these, one can almost believe that Hollywood’s heart is not as airbrushed as its magazine covers.
