According to the ever-trusted Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman’s Patreon handle, Marvel Studios is reportedly considering Ryan Gosling for his dream Marvel Cinematic Universe role, Ghost Rider. In December, Richtman took to X to share a Ghost Rider gif, leaving fans abuzz with theories about the character’s MCU debut. Although he cut short on the speculations, revealing he only liked the gif and fans were needlessly jumping to conclusions, they were now back on the hype train holding their bated breath.

To top it off, another rumor mill has been in full swing about Ghost Rider’s potential feature in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, set to introduce Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. Apocalyptic Horseman on X, who apparently has access to casting call sheets, was the catalyst of the gossip grapevine. “No idea about a solo project or Midnights Sons, or which Ghost Rider it is, but the plan is to introduce him in a big role in Doomsday,” the user wrote.
While Daniel Richtman also announced Nicolas Cage’s revival as Ghost Rider last December, the new reports are a hotchpotch of excitement and confusion. However, if the latest scoops are to be believed, then Ryan Gosling could finally give his existing charm a dreamy makeover.
When Ryan Gosling declared his dream MCU role, Ghost Rider
Ryan Gosling has donned many skins, but that of a superhero has never been one. However, in a conversation with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast during The Fall Guy promotions last year with Emily Blunt, the host announced how Marvel boss Kevin Feige was onboard to have Gosling in the MCU. In a past interview, Gosling reportedly told Horowitz about his interest in playing Ghost Rider in the MCU.

Horowitz, who later had an opportunity to interview Feige, conveyed the message like a good old friend. “I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU,” Feige said before the lights went off almost dramatically. At the time, Horowitz asked if there were any further developments on the prospect. “I don’t know. I would love to. It would be amazing,” Gosling admitted. However, a year later, the same rumor mill is again running in full swing, and all that remains is a Marvel-certified green flag of confirmation.
