Although the plan had come from Prince Harry’s feeling of homesickness and loss of friends, the Duchess reportedly has no intent to move back to the UK. Now, royal experts are giving their opinion and reasonings as to why the 39-year-old would want to move back.

It is been almost 4 years since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave up their royal duties and moved to the United States. Prince Harry has been keen to return to the UK as reported. However, royal expert Kinsey Schofield broke down the reason behind it. In an interview with Sky News Australia reported by Express, she pondered over if there was a connection between the former royal “having a residence” there and wanting to keep his “counselor of state role.”

Schofield also reflected on whether the sudden shift in perspective had come from the fact that he was not an American Citizen. She also went on to question whether he needs to have a residence in the UK to “maintain whatever it is he has in the US.” While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had not paid any mind to these claims, one thing is for certain. Meghan Markle is against the idea of returning to the UK after vacating Frogmore.

While it comes as no surprise that Markle has no intention of making a comeback to the UK, the couple has been keeping their options open. In fact, they might even end up planting their roots in Malibu.

While it has only been 4 years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their move to the US, it looks like the couple is already on the lookout for their living quarters. Another royal expert, Christine Ross, revealed that they were “casually house hunting” in Malibu. Even though the location seemed a bit random, the couple had spent two summers at a friend’s house and had fallen in love.

She also speculated that the couple probably found that their current home in Montecito, California, was “not working out for them.” However, with everything only being assumed, Ross ended her conversation by saying that it would be “interesting” to see their 9-bedroom investment put on the market. While it is unknown where the couple could end up, it is sure to be a long journey.
