The thing that had always been easy for Joey but always extremely difficult for Ross: flirting! It was evident in the 4th episode of Season 8 when Ross came to Joey for help. Therefore, Joey shared a fictional romantic backpacking story with Ross to try out on his date. But Ross, being Ross, messed it up with his nervousness.
Angry, Ross came back to Joey complaining that his story did not work. However, Joey insisted, “If it didn’t work, it’s ’cause you didn’t tell it right.” So, naturally, Joey asked him to narrate the story to him. This ensued a hilarious back and forth between Joey and Ross as they tried to put a finger at what went wrong.
As the duo was busy doing their thing, Rachel came in with a bunch of invitation cards for Monica and Chandler’s wedding. What followed was even more hilarious and exciting.

Around this is the time when Ross and Rachel had already broken up. Therefore, there was nothing romantic going on between them. However, weddings always made Rachel emotional, which led her to do something that turned out to be one of the iconic Ross-Rachel moments. While arranging the wedding cards, it was Rachel who started telling the Western Europe story, unaware of the fact that Ross already knew it and, of course, the video camera was on!
They ended up getting intimate, which the viewers got to know in the following episodes of the season. Although Ross tried to stop Rachel from exposing the truth, Rachel insisted on watching it. Shocked when the truth came out, this became one of the most-loved moments of the show! Additionally, this became a significant moment because Rachel got pregnant with Emma and the rest is history.
