“Reality is such a…” – Sydney Sweeney Unveils How Reality Is Nothing like Her Emmy Nominated Roles Cassie and Olivia
Sydney Sweeney did not have a very ravishing career start, but she had patience and perseverance. These two qualities of the actress, along with a touch of hard work, helped her become a household name in the USA. And with the continuous meaningful projects she is taking over, she will soon be a household name internationally. But at present, Sweeney is busy promoting her film Reality and is opening up about her role. During one such appearance, she shared how Reality Winner was different from her other roles.
Up until now in her career, the Euphoria actress has done only fictional characters. Be it Cassie Howard from Euphoria, or Olivia Mossbacher from The White Lotus, all these characters were imaginary. For the first time in her life, she got the chance to portray a real person. Talking about her experience with the character of Reality Winner, Sweeney admitted that it was a completely new adventure for her.

In her recent interview with People, Sweeney said, “Reality is such a different experience altogether, that I don’t know if I can even equate the differences, because the TV world is very different from the movie world.”
She also compared Winner’s character to two of her Emmy-nominated roles, Cassie and Olivia, and stated how Reality is very different from these two. It is obvious that the fictional characters are poles apart from the real ones, but Sweeney has a reason behind the comparison.

A special thing the 25-year-old is known for is her preparation for the characters she plays. She has admitted on several occasions that she creates a complete timeline of her character from the day they are born to the first page of the script. This helps her get into the skin of the character and also helps to build her personality.
However, in the case of Reality Winner, Sweeney could not do that, as she is a living person. The actress had to portray exactly how she is in real life in order to showcase her authenticity. Hence, she had to work on understanding relationships of Winner with real people than creating imaginary memories.
