Instances of actors embodying their on-screen characters to the point that even they cannot distinguish what is in fact reel and real are just as many as the cinematic miracles where audiences are blown away by the chameleon-like abilities of the actors. While this phenomenon is mostly associated with actors playing a real human, for instance, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana or Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, it has oddly also been found true for Christian Bale as Batman.

While Christian Bale is fortunately not checking under his cape for Bat Signals, he has in true Bruce Wayne style, been fighting to build foster homes for children in Los Angeles County. As news surfaced of Christian Bale putting in $22 Million in order to build a proper village for kids, fans wondered if the cape was still hiding somewhere under the tux.
