The animosity between Victorian stoicism and America’s diverse culture might have gone to lengths. However, the younger set of British royals blended in swiftly with the American culture and modernization. And the long-standing bitter ties soon turned into one of tremendous support before we could notice. The Prince of Wales, Prince William, is well a received fixation for the masses across the Atlantic. However, home to straight rivals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, America’s proven love for the UK royal, has not gone down well with the Sussex friend. 

A recent survey conducted asked a handful of Americans to list some of their top public figures worldwide. Not only the Prince of Wales but also King Charles III bagged a top spot in the popularity list. Nonetheless, Prince William came ahead of striking figures like Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. 

Ombid Scobie calls Prince William’s leading poll Bizarre

Weighing on the viral report, headlines have the long-term ally of Prince Harry and Meghan, Ombid Scobie. Previously working at Harper’s Bazaar, the Yahoo contributor has emerged as a top Sussex supporter in the face of critics over the years. Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Scobie wrote, “I really don’t get this bizarre poll and the fuss about it”. 

He undoubtedly considers Britain’s Heir to the throne significantly popular. However, what has still bothered the expert is the limited and “bizarre” group of Americans that have been tested upon. Frowning upon the list, Scobie added, “Asking a group of Americans who is favourable out of a list of 12 polarising US politicians, a murderous dictator, two Royals, and Ukraine’s President, is so random and nonsensical“. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not make it to the list 

The estranged members of Windsors and the royal rota chasing them have been the biggest feeding frenzy in recent times. Serving as all-time tabloid fixations for dailies and weeklies, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have become two of the most talked about public figures in the US. Despite their best to maintain a low profile, the slightest of their activities racks the news charts. 

Moreover, their on-off ties with celebrities of Tinseltown have thus added to their popularity amongst the masses. In times as such, them not making it to a popularity list sounds reasonably bizarre and pointed at their friend. He thus indicated a survey of a larger mass that could represent the entire country.
