As Prince Harry expands his organization with tours abroad and Meghan Markle jams at Taylor Swift’s concert, a new wave of controversies creeps into their lives. The royals and their revelations through docuseries, interviews, and tell-all books have never been really appealing. As you sow, so shall you reap says the law of nature, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have evidently fallen prey to the same. 

The Sussexes waged a war against their UK Sovereigns through the back-to-back bombshell with the Netflix projects and the best-selling memoir. Likewise, another honest biography has laid bare the stories of their personal life. The royal book Finding Freedom has amassed a significant amount of readers since the day it hit the shelves.

Coming from Markle’s once-close associate itself has further added to the credibility of the stories. Ombid Scobie, an active royal enthusiast, has revealed in his book a few instances where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle battled rising tensions between themselves. One of them from their early days of courtship. 

The Prince reportedly got his beloved a $300 worth necklace when their romance was blooming. It in fact had the initials of H and M. It was nothing, compared to the thousands worth of jewelry that the Palace members donned on a daily basis. However, the gift did not go down well with the then-would-be Duchess since she was not allowed to wear it. After being informed of the same, “Markle was left frustrated and emotional” read the book. 

Why did the Palace not allow Meghan Markle to wear the Prince Harry gift? 

When it comes to the paparazzi and their relentless pursuit of getting a glimpse of the Sussexes, it was never really a pleasing experience. In fact, having dealt with the ravaging media, Prince Harry went on an official crusade against the tabloids. 

Thus keeping all of it in mind, Palace aides asked Meghan Markle to avoid it. “Wearing such a necklace only served to encourage the photographers to keep pursuing such images — and new headlines,” read the lines for Scobie’s account. The intention behind the directive was always in favor of the Sussexes. However, the newly royal Meghan Markle was left quite sentimental about the same.
