Private Tribute: Prince Harry Honors the Queen’s Memory by Visiting Her Final Resting Place
The relationship between Prince Harry and the royal family has significantly deteriorated over the years. After the Duke decided to step down from his royal duties, royal watchers have been anticipating the reunion of the battling family. However, the Californian couple have come a long way in their new lives and occupied themselves with their production house Archwell Productions. Yet, from what it seems, Harry has not escaped his roots.
Last year, on this day, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, at the age of 96. While the King and Queen commemorated the service of the longest British monarch, the Duke of Sussex opted for a private tribute by revisiting her final resting place.

Despite moving to California, the Duke makes occasional visits to Britain with his wife Meghan Markle. Last year, when they heard the grievous news of Queen’s passing, they ditched the WellChild Awards in London. However, this year, the Prince managed to successfully attend the event where he paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth. Apart from that, as per Express, he also made a visit to the St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, which sits within the walls of the Queen’s final resting place.
In the award function, the 38-year-old paid respect to his late grandmother and spoke fondly of her. The Harry and Meghan star revealed at the charity event that Queen Elizabeth “would have been the first person” insisting the Duke to be present at the event. The father of two then went on to say that the Queen “is looking down on all of us tonight”. While this was a heartfelt moment for the Duke, it is hard to tell whether the royals deemed Prince Harry’s tribute to his grandmother respectful.
Meanwhile, recently, the former royal butler claimed that the Prince would see his grandmother’s death anniversary as an opportunity to “go rogue”.

The royal couple has time and again refused to conform to the Royal protocols, causing a long-standing hostility between the parties. While talking to Mirror, Paul Burrell, the former Royal butler, expressed his aversion towards the Megxit couple. Burrell told the publication that Prince Harry would see this as a moment to overstep boundaries and do “something completely unexpected, which the royal family does not approve of”. And considering their last year’s move of having their own version of remembrance day in LA, the butler is not far off.
Burrell went on to inform how the British monarch has their own rules of paying tribute in which they go “underground”. During such events, making public appearances is a breach of the Royal protocols. Owing to this, the Royal members may perceive the tribute of the prince as an “opportunity for Harry and Meghan to pop up and create their own little diversion”. However, the couple always seemed to be unaffected by such negativity and did what suited them. Even in the absence of his wife, the Duke acknowledged her, saying she was “very upset that she couldn’t be here.”
