The year-end festivities always align with the seasonal warmth and coziness. While the Christmas bells and new-year resolutions are still days away, the occasion of giving has been initiated with Thanksgiving cheers. As a part of the season of goodwill, people often take respite in bettering relationships and making amendments. However, for the Royal household, the boat often sails in the opposite direction.

As the official guest list for Christmas at Sandringham was spilled, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s names were nowhere to be found. Not only that but the dis-invite also came along with Prince William and Kate Middleton’s harsh disapproval for the Royal couple, as per sources.

When it comes to amendments, it is often a two-way street. Therefore, despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expressing their desire to attend the Christmas celebrations, it is unlikely that their wishes will come to fruition. While that wound would have been enough, a friend of Prince William took the responsibility of rubbing the salt. He told to The Daily Beast how Prince William and Kate Middleton would never agree to such an arrangement because it would be “total humiliation.”

The friend further said, “Would you want to sit down for a slap-up Christmas lunch with someone who had basically called you an a**hole in public?” He also revealed that while King Charles could approve of such a thing, his royal couple friend would not. In addressing the same, a friend of King Charles noted how the King and his team never had the plans. Even if they did, it would be on King Charles’s “terms”.

At least for the Royal household, year-end is no fun without the royal drama. As for Prince William and Kate Middleton, this is not the first time that their discontent regarding the Duke and the Duchess has been aired publicly.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s unending feud with the Sussexes

Ever since the Duke and the Duchess left the UK trail, the Royal family has been heated for several reasons. Followed by Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, hitting the shelves, the fuel was even more charged. While the brothers’ feud was often meditated by Kate Middleton, she also withdrew from her role. Earlier this year, the Prince of Wales made a jibe at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during King Charles’ Coronation concert as per the fans.

While reciting the speech, Prince William said, “…at the heart of the pageantry is a simple message- service.” His statement greatly resembled an adage previously addressed by the Sussexes which quoted, “Service is universal”. Fans were quick to note the supposed underlining of the comment. However, considering the couple has, at times, extended the hand of friendship, there is reason to hope that someday the conflict may near an end.
