Prince William and Kate Middleton Reportedly Extended an Olive Branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to No Avail
In 2020, the royal seat at Buckingham faced a severance with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving for the shores of California. Ever since, Prince William and Kate Middleton have served as its brimming face and point of reach into public affairs with King Charles III handling more pressing matters at hand. However, with the monarch taking a break owing to his cancer diagnosis and the Princess of Wales serving an important update, things have hit the doldrums of late.
Amid such an outlook, the two warring sides reportedly also had a brief chance of mending things over. However, things did not go according to plan.

Allegations laid out by the Sussex duo in an interview with Oprah Winfrey as well as in the Duke’s memoir, Spare, against his brother and sister-in-law had relations between the two factions recede to an all-time low. Regardless, in talks with Mirror, royal author Tom Quinn revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton made attempts as recent as March 2024 to get Prince Harry and Meghan Markle along with their kids to the UK on a visit but received a denial in return.
The author stated that the Duchess of Sussex refused to oblige to the same. Making a last visit to the UK as a family as far back as 2022, the refusal casts a giant shadow on reconciliation hopes. Furthermore, the report also stated that the extension of the olive branch from Kensington Palace came as a resort to settle the discord. Additionally, all of it happened close on the heels of the Sussexes, reaching out to Kate Middleton to wish her good health.
In the meantime, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stay hard at work in cultivating new endeavors and etching a lasting impact.
Netflix comes calling for the Sussexes once again

In the early 2020s, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed media deals with the streaming giant as well as Spotify for exclusive content. While the podcast deal fell out, their five-year-long $100 million agreement with Netflix stays on the cards. Following the success of shows like Heart of Invictus, the former Suits actor stands in the talks to debut an unscripted cooking show as her latest media foray.
Along these lines, the duo also expanded their visions of charity and philanthropy alongside the Archewell Foundation. Not very long ago, they presented a virtual NAACP–Archewell Foundation Digital Civil Rights Award and made their presence felt. Furthermore, the duo’s recent appearances at the Kinsey African American Art & History Collection exhibit also furthered their PR among the general audiences.
