Speaking to The Sun, Fitzwilliams suggested that the presence of the Sussex couple could have detracted from the intended focus of the event, drawing excessive attention to themselves.

"You simply cannot have Trooping The Color where the central figures are Harry and Meghan," remarked Fitzwilliams. While this is not the first time experts have criticized their alleged pursuit of publicity, it adds fuel to an ongoing controversy.
