For the last few years, Prince Harry has not been on the best terms with his family. After he took over the world with his and Megan Markle’s Netflix documentary, the 39-year-old ended up adding fuel to the fire with his bombshell memoir, Spare. The revelations made in both did not sit right with his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William and it ended up putting a wedge between the family.

Now, shortly after the Duke made his way to the UK to see his father after his recent cancer diagnosis, the father of two has shared what it was like being with his family after all this time.

Prince Harry opens up about King Charles’ cancer diagnosis

According to reports from People, in a pre-recorded episode of Good Morning America, Prince Harry and Megan Markle sat down with Will Reeve to talk about their plans for the New Year. Apart from sharing their plans, the duke also opened up about his recent trip to the UK to see King Charles. In the interview, the 39-year-old revealed that he had spoken to his father and caught a flight to see him after learning about his diagnosis.

He continued, “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane, go and see him, and spend any time with him — I’m grateful for that.” While their time together might have been rather short, it looks like the father and son might have finally made up after all this time. The Duke was also asked about the condition of the 75-year-old, but Prince Harry chose to keep that between him and his old man.

The Duke of Sussex might have made up with his father. However, that did not seem to be the case with him and the Prince of Wales.

Where Prince Harry and Prince William stand

Ever since Prince Harry and Megan Markle stepped down from their royal responsibilities, the couple’s relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton has run into multiple problems. From claims that the 39-year-old only felt like a spare to his brother to racism accusations that shook the world, a lot has happened. While fans were hoping the brothers would make up after King Charles’ health concerns, that did not end up happening.

Although Prince Harry had made his way to the UK after months of being away, the brothers stayed out of each other’s way. Instead, they only seemed to focus on their father and his ailing health. The world might want them to make up soon, but it looks like the brothers might need a little more time before they put their problems behind them.
