Prince Harry Shares a Sweet Anecdote About Meghan Markle and Their Kids, While Being Miles Away From Them
There are times when Prince Harry really seems to appreciate the life he has built today, four years after stepping back from the royal hustle. Lately, though, the Duke and Duchess have been showing up at events separately, which experts say is their way of keeping the peace amid the recent drama. Nonetheless, their moving around separately for events is not any kind of an indicator of drama in their relationship- which is all the more clear from the way the Duke keeps his wife and family close to his heart, no matter the distance.
Last month, while Prince Harry was off on a whole other continent, he shared some sweet stories about his family.

Last month, Prince Harry returned to London to attend the WellChild Awards, one of the few patronages he is still hanging onto since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Recently, in an issue of HELLO!, chief content officer Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon shared her experience of meeting Prince Harry at the awards. "He chatted animatedly about his own children ahead of the event,” said Vokes-Dudgeon.
Prince Harry, apparently, raved about how his kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have inherited their mom Meghan Markle’s thick hair. He even joked that it would not be long before their little girl could sit on her own hair. This is not the first time the 40-year-old has gushed about his kids' hair. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he mentioned that they have also inherited his self-described "ginger gene."
Last month, the Duke showed a similar gesture for his family when he included Markle and the kids, even if digitally, at a big New York event.

Last month, Prince Harry was in New York City for a series of engagements related to the UN General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week. On September 23, just before stepping on stage to speak at the Concordia Summit, the Duke FaceTimed his wife, Meghan Markle, and their kids. He even gave them a little tour of the event space by panning the camera around the room.
Chiara Riyanti Hutapea Zhang, a recipient of The Diana Award, shared with PEOPLE that Prince Harry was calling Markle from backstage. “I thought that was just so sweet, and it helped humanize him,” said Zhang. These moments also help quiet any rumors about rifts between the couple, as it is clear they are a constant presence in each other’s lives.
