It is the Invictus season! And being the brainchild of the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, the tournament and the just-released Netflix project has pushed the Prince to the pinnacle of the limelight. In the much-anticipated Netflix docuseries about the 2022 Invictus Games, Prince Harry along with Meghan Markle take the stage to share insights about what it actually feels like to be a part of the Invictus family. While athletes hail the Prince for giving them a new lease of life, Prince Harry reveals glimpses of his own in the docuseries as well. 

Comparatively much less controversial than the Netflix bombshell, Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus shares titbits of Sussex life, both past and present. 

Prince Harry’s valued life lessons for Prince Archie 

The Duke of Sussex, whose entire life has been nothing but relentless loops of character arcs, revealed what he has been instilling in his son. When he talks to his firstborn son about what he wants to become when he grows up, the answers as obvious for any four-year-old vary from day to day. “Some days it’s an astronaut, some days it’s a pilot,” said the Duke in the opening ceremony of the 2022 games.

Regardless of whatever he opts to become, Father Harry just had a single and golden advice for his son. “What I would remind him is no matter what you want to be when you grow up it’s your character that matters the most,” confessed the Duke featuring in the Docuseries. 

Nothing else would make his wife and him any prouder said Prince Harry. The Duke’s love for his kids undoubtedly stems from the lessons he learned in his own life as a child to an adult.

Prince Harry eventually learned to be a dad 

Suffering the loss of a parent, Prince Harry, never in his wildest dreams can imagine anything similar befalling Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Therefore, although an army veteran, the Duke swore to never serve in the military while he was a father. 

During a chat, while hiking with his friends, the Duke affirmed, “I’ve always had myself down as being the dad that I could never be serving while having kids”. According to Prince Harry, keeping a family united and safe is everyone’s responsibility. “It’s never the individual signing-it’s the whole family,” he said, which was a small jibe to his father. In his youth, Prince Harry has always had to suffer being neglected by King Charles.
