When the controversial couple, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry step out for an outing, it is a given that eyeballs will follow. Although the Duke of Sussex has relayed many times how the paparazzi have hounded him his whole life, the cameras still follow him and his wife. While he has suffered quite a bit of unflattering attention, sometimes the lens captures him in a golden moment. 

A recent clip of his that surfaced online can definitely be deemed pure gold! A fan-run page of Lionel Messi recently posted this gem to its Twitter, now X page. In the short clip, Prince Harry struggled to sit still while he attended the Inter Miami FC vs. Los Angeles FC match with Meghan Markle. With almost child-like excitement, he was seen having an animated conversation with fellow matchgoers. 

Since his childhood, he has immersed himself in soccer through his favorite club, Aston Villa. Other than that, he is also an experienced polo player himself. These factors and his upcoming Netflix show Invictus Games are a testament to the prince’s affinity for sports. And if that does not convince people, his over-the-top excitement seen at Messi’s match surely must have.

Mostly sporting a somber expression, the giddy expressions came as a rare look on the royal. In the same way, he cheered on the playing teams, his fans were cheering for his joy in the comments section of the post.

To see the 38-year-old in such elated spirits after long, many of his supporters were rather pleased. The contrast between his demeanor at the match and the grim face he brought to Beyonce’s Renaissance concert that he attended with Markle’s family was evident. One user even pointed this out by saying “Messi beats Beyonce“. While another believed that the “Messi effect” had taken over the prince.

One user felt this was because of the freedom he had attained by distancing from the royal family. For another, his happiness was a clear indication of the couple’s marriage thriving.

Meanwhile, a majority of comments showed how happy Prince Harry’s fans are made by his happiness.
