After all the drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the previous years, the royals of Windsor found themselves in the middle of strife yet again this year because of medical ailments. First, Kate Middleton underwent an abdominal procedure last month. Then, King Charles was revealed to be suffering from an enlarged prostate, which later turned into a diagnosis of cancer. Upon hearing of his father’s illness, the Duke of Sussex decided to forgo grudges, and finally visited his father. 

As it turns out, his visit was brief and did not include the family reunion many were expecting it to be. 

Prince Harry leaves the UK abruptly after meeting King Charles

Earlier today, People reported that Prince Harry had already left his home country after only 24 hours of stay. A royal source also revealed that “no plans” of a reunion between him and Prince William had materialized. Another anonymous source close to the Buckingham Palace residents felt it was still a step in the right direction. According to the insider, it opened the doors for the monarch to possibly meet his “grandchildren” eventually. 

Today, the 39-year-old was sighted at the same airport he had arrived at yesterday signaling his return journey to his wife and kids. Meanwhile, his father’s condition remains unknown. Despite announcing a detailed report of the king’s earlier diagnosis of an enlarged prostate, the crown has kept information regarding his cancer diagnosis shrouded in mystery except for revealing that he will undergo regular treatment for it. 

As for the Duke’s estranged brother, he may have failed to meet his brother solely because of the responsibilities he is juggling. 

Prince William returns to work amidst family’s health concerns

At the moment, Prince William is the only senior member of the royal family besides Queen Camilla, who is available to carry out royal duties. With his father’s ailment and his wife’s recovery still underway, the Prince of Wales returned to work today to carry out an investiture ceremony in his father’s absence. He has stepped up to keep the ongoings flowing at Buckingham Palace, all the while taking care of his wife.

While the palace revealed that the monarch would also work while undergoing treatments, he is currently resting at the Sandringham castle. However, the public still awaits updates on the Princess of Wales and King Charles’ health and maybe even a clearer picture of their suffering. Meanwhile, it seems unlikely that Prince Harry will be reuniting with his family members, judging by the brief sojourn.
