The couple has under this deal released a two-part docuseries marking the zenith of their feud with the royal family, which was followed by a docuseries about the Invictus Games. Given how since then, there have been no updates regarding a Netflix project featuring the Sussexes, the statement does not need much backing up.

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have their foot in many ventures, the loss of a deal as lustrous as that of Netflix's will leave a hole like no other.

One of the most scathing was when the Sussexes lost their Spotify deal, leading to an outcry of 'grifters' not very long ago. Under such circumstances, if they fail to keep the $100 million Netflix deal, they will lose any leverage that they have. 

While it is clear that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will try their best to keep the Netflix deal afloat, they will have to release another docuseries as fueling as Harry & Meghan to do the same. However, given the massive backlash they received the last time, it will be quite intriguing to see what the Sussexes choose to stay afloat.
