Two entities that seem to forever be on a rollercoaster ride are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The upward and downward cycle of life ever since they got married has managed to create intrigue in pop culture regarding the royals like never before. Playing on the same string, the couple with their Netflix docuseries further added to the already thickened plot. However, things are changing and they are changing fast.
Right on the heel of their arguably successful trip to Nigeria, the Sussexes have supposedly been greeted with bad news from their friend Netflix back at home.

Since marking their exit as senior royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made many waves in the United States. However, none came close to the tidal wave they caused when they signed their $100 million deal with Netflix. With such a big amount and an even bigger plot in question, Markle and her husband managed to be in the news all year round. However, all that may be coming to an end as Netflix seems to be "less interested" since The Crown ended as per Richard Fitzwilliams' statement to Daily Mail (via Firstpost).

The couple has under this deal released a two-part docuseries marking the zenith of their feud with the royal family, which was followed by a docuseries about the Invictus Games. Given how since then, there have been no updates regarding a Netflix project featuring the Sussexes, the statement does not need much backing up.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have their foot in many ventures, the loss of a deal as lustrous as that of Netflix's will leave a hole like no other.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seen many lows both during their royal tenure and post the Megxit. One of the most scathing was when the Sussexes lost their Spotify deal, leading to an outcry of 'grifters' not very long ago. Under such circumstances, if they fail to keep the $100 million Netflix deal, they will lose any leverage that they have.

While it is clear that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will try their best to keep the Netflix deal afloat, they will have to release another docuseries as fueling as Harry & Meghan to do the same. However, given the massive backlash they received the last time, it will be quite intriguing to see what the Sussexes choose to stay afloat.
