Juggling the world of stardom and the Royal realm alike, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the conversational centerpiece for a long time now. The buzz had grown manifold owing to the pair’s quitting as working royals. While royal scrutiny lingers at every corner of their activities, their children also do not go amiss from the prevailing discussions. The demands of snubbing the monarch titles of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet had previously made headlines.

Although the dispute was resolved, Omid Scobie claims in his Endgame book, that the Sussex couple has not entirely dished themselves out of the dispute.

A few excerpts from the Endgame book by Omid Scobie were in exposition previously, disclosing some of the controversial topics of the premise. As the book finally got published, Scobie’s fresh take on Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s titles came to the surface. It alluded to the possibility of the Sussex couple still distressing over the time taken to approve them.

Per royal conventions, Scobie claims that the children were entitled to the title from the very moment King Charles assumed the throne. However, he allegedly “avoided the subject”. Furthermore, he told Prince Harry that he would bestow the titles officially in early 2023. Even then, according to the book, the subject of the titles was conveyed to Prince Harry, not by King Charles, but by his press secretary.

The truth claim concerning this revelation is difficult to measure, since the conflict that ensued had spread like wildfire.

Before claiming the titles of Prince and Princess, the children were listed as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, respectively. Following the throning of King Charles, the children were supposed to assume the HRH titles then and there. However, the unleashing of Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir had put a toll on their children’s entitlement. Furthermore, the pair quitting as working royals was also seen in a bad light.

Following Sussex’s evacuation from the Frogmore cottage, the inheritance of titles felt rather bleak. As the relationship equations were hitting rock bottom, the speculations of what was rightful were hitting the roof. Yet still, the storms were cleared when Buckingham Palace’s officials updated the children’s titles. Considering the extended duration of the wait, it appears that Scobie’s disclosure might hold some credibility.
