Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Version of Car Chase Is “Exaggerated,” Claims Their Own Taxi Driver
The media whirlwind around the Sussex couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is currently at an all-time high. What breached top headlines a couple of days ago as a near-catastrophic car is now getting the tag of being nothing more than an exaggerated PR stunt. BBC broke the news to the world that the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex were involved in an almost fatal car chase incident by the paparazzi that came along with various collisions and Injuries. However, the latest revelations on the said matter have proved otherwise of the statement as issued by the Sussexes.
The New York Police Department made it immediately clear that there were no reports of collisions and injuries along the way. Although what the security was dealing with was something never encountered before, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reached their destination safe and sound. Meanwhile, substantiating the same is the pair’s own taxi driver who does not categorize the car chase as catastrophic.
The car chase was nothing, says Sussex driver

Speaking to BBC on the 18th of May, the Indian-origin taxi driver shared some more intel into what exactly happened on Tuesday night. According to Sukhcharan Singh, who goes by the name, Sonny described how he picked up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the Manhattan Police Station on 67th Street with all security intact. As they started, a huge garbage truck obstructed their way. This was when the paparazzi came in. “All of a sudden, paparazzi came and started taking pictures.” Singh described the couple’s reaction as nervous as if they had been “chased the whole day or something.”
He continued to state that the couple looked “pretty nervous“. Nonetheless, the security team was looking after the situation. The driver believes that if it was all dangerous and catastrophic, it was likely based on the person who was driving them, referring to himself in the situation. However, that was not the case. For all the time they were in Singh’s car, he did not believe they were in any kind of danger. “I think that’s all exaggerated and stuff like that. Don’t read too much into that,” he lastly affirmed.
Nonetheless, he does not regard the Sussexes as the ones exaggerating it.

Singh describes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as nice people
In the same statement, Singh also affirmed that the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex were just tensed with the vehicles trying to keep up with them. Describing the end of their drive, he recalled how the couple greeted him nicely, thanking him for the trip. He also mentioned how their security paid him a total of $50 for merely a 10-minute ride. Singh could not have asked for anything more.

However, he went on to say that the paparazzi chase after the couple hopped into his car was the usual media attention that high-profile celebrities tend to get. They were behind them and “they kept their distance,” affirmed the driver to the publication.
